I Don't Know What Stressed Me First
Or How The Pressure Was Fed
Personality (Basic): To put it in the most comprehendible terms possible, little Stormshadow is an emotional wreck on a good day. And we mean REALLY good. Stormshadow is moody, nervous, mildly schizophrenic (if a cat can be that…), and severely paranoid. Being the odd one out in his family all his life, Stormshadow is used to being alone. Really, he’d love to find some friends, but at the same time, cannot bear to trust another cat. With his fear of well, everything, Stormshadow doesn’t exactly ‘fit in’ with the Clan, and is considered an embarrassment. He could, however, be easily bullied to go along with something. As long as it doesn’t involve his leaving the safety of his camp. Stormshadow hates leaving the camp, and will fight to stay in it. While Stormshadow is a pushover, he is a bit of a jealous type, though he never does anything about it. He just sits, stays, and begs like any good lackey.
While his family was very popular with the Clan, Stormshadow differed greatly, leaving him bitter toward those of his Clan, and to his family before they died. On the topic of death, Stormshadow doesn’t like to kill anything. He will fight, and fight hard if he’s scared, but he only has ever killed by accident or through fear. Really, he’s a bit of a softy when it comes to stuff like that.

Like A Face That I Hold Inside
A Face That Awakes When I Close My Eyes
Appearance (Facial): Stormshadow’s head is average sized, slightly round-ish, with normal sized ears, and a cute grey nose. As a whole, all of Stormshadow is grey. His face is a pale smoked color with very light tabby stripes on his forehead and around his neck. With his soft features, Stormshadow look quite harmless, even lacks the insane glint in his eyes that most cats would suspect. Actually, Stormshadow looks pretty normal, considering. Of course, this is all at first glance.
Stormshadow’s ear innards are pale grey, as well as his nose, whiskers, and lips. The only part of him with any color at all is his eyes, which are a stunning blue/grey/green. His eyes show a life of exhaustion and hate, but also a submissiveness that shows just how easily swayed he is.
Appearance (Body): Stormshadow’s body type is strong, yet sleek. Because he doesn’t eat much, Storm is pretty thin, but he has enough inherited muscle mass from his family line to say that he is a strong fighter. Of course, fighting definitely isn’t something he goes looking for. His tail is very long, a bit too long in most cats’ opinions, and his pelt is rattled with swirls and streaks of different shades of grey, from pale to light smoky, Stormshadow’s fur is like a picture straight out of an old Black and White film. His paw pads are dark grey, and well as his tail tip, and his claws are dusty in shade.
Despite his small shape, Stormshadow has a set of very strong hind legs, powerful shoulders, and long claws. Quite tall and muscle set, he is fully set for fighting physically. This is really the only reason he ever was made into a Warrior. Storm’s hunting abilities are few, because he doesn’t exactly like to kill. That and he doesn’t like to leave camp, of course.

History
Kithood: Born to very near famous Warriors Bleakstreak and Shiftingsky, Stormkit and his littermate Flutterkit were the most expected of new kits in the Clan. Of course, Flutterkit was everything they could have hoped for. Strong, fast, and social to a new degree. Stormkit, not so much… The young tom was very shy. Though he was just as capable as his sister, Stormkit was often forgotten in the presence of his younger sibling, cast of on the sidelines while Flutterkit took in all of the attention. It was just as well, since Stormkit got scared in big crowds. Bleakstreak had tried a number of things to try and bring out some courage in her oldest kit, but Stormkit was far too timid. His kithood went thusly. He stayed away from others, shied from attention, and because of that, never got to play with the other kits.
Apprenticeship: As he got older, Stormkit didn’t get much bigger, but by the time he hit Apprenticeship, he was quite large. Tall and sleek, nursery soft fluff disappeared into a thick, short haired tabby pelt giving him a very handsome look. Truly, Stormpaw could even be desirable to a young she-cat, if he wasn’t crazy of course. Yes, poor Stormshadow had completely turned inwards as an Apprentice. No cat could reach him. It was almost as if he was off in his own little world, and by the end of his Apprenticeship, it was only going to get worse.
The day before he earned his Warrior’s name, a badger made it’s way into the camp. Without any warning, Wind Clan was unprepared, and panicked. In the midst of the chaos, the badger ran for the first form of shelter it could find, the Apprentices den. Needless to say, finding more cats there did not make the beast happy, and in a panic, killed Stormpaw’s three new siblings, Ashpaw, Sliverpaw, and Rabbitpaw. This sent Bleakstreak into a frenzy, attacking the badger in a confined space and with no help. In an attempt to drag her mother away from the badger, Flutterpaw was hit by the massive paw of the badger, and knocked unconscious. This brought Bleakstreak to attack again. In the end, Shiftingsky and Stormpaw had dragged out Flutterpaw, but Bleakstreak had been left behind to flush out the badger. She was found dead soon after.
Warriorship: Siftings was beside himself with sorrow. He had lost his mate, and three of his kits. Flutterpaw had survived, but not by much. She was gravely injured, and probably wouldn’t make it past a few days. To honour the dying Apprentice, Flutterpaw was named Flutterleaf, and Stormpaw named Stormshadow. Soon after, Flutterleaf passed. After his family’s death, Shiftingsky became a shell of the cat he once was. He blocked the Clan out, and ignored Stormshadow. Stormshadow had suffered as well, seeing his mother’s and his siblings’ corpses and the raging badger had badly damaged his psyche. However, the two began to bond, somewhat. Both grieving, and having no other family, Shiftingsky began to try and understand his eldest. Try and see things through Stormshadow’s eyes. The two actually became close, after the moons of ignorance they had shared. They even hunted together. Stormshadow, despite all odds, had become the only family Shiftingsky would know. This bond, however, was about to be broken.
Times were changing, cats began to get desperate. The hunting grounds became dangerous to walk alone, and all of the patrols had to have at least three to four cats to be safe. Neither Shiftingsky nor Stormshadow paid these warnings much mind, finding the outside not much different from before. Of course, since they were two of the best fighters in the Clan, why wouldn’t they? One fine Green-leaf sun-high, the two were sparring in an open field, just the two of them. Hearing new nioses, Shiftingsky paused their match to investigate the screeching sounds in the distance. Stormshadow stayed by the patch of sand, awaiting his father’s return. Two hours past, and Stormshadow finally snapped, and headed rather slowly in the direction he had seen Shiftingsky run. He returned a different cat. After moons and moons of working, Stormshadow had finally managed to get up a bit of confidence, and was slowly growing in popularity. All this work cam smashing down when he was found alone on the hunting plains, body shaking violently, eyes wide with terror, and unable to speak. No cat ever found out what happened to Shiftingsky, but Stormshadow was never the same again. He had become fearful of every touch, every move. He saw shadows in his dreams, images of untold horror, and soon, these became hallucinations. Hearing voices in his head, seeing angry rage spirits only through his eyes, Stormshadow was a mess. He still pertains these curses today, though he’s a little better than he was before. Now he just sits by himself in his claimed corner of the camp and stares off into space, does what he’s told, and is deathly afraid of leaving the “safety of his camp”.
